Chief Executive and Head of Corporate Finance
David Scott, has over 20 years of corporate broking and investment banking experience in advising small and medium-sized companies on both the Official List and AIM. He has extensive experience in private equity and advising unquoted companies. David began his career in the corporate finance department of L Messel & Co and has since been a director of corporate broking at ING Barings, a director of Resolution Partners Limited, and more recently a director of corporate finance at Lewis Charles. David is a co-founder of Alexander David and heads the corporate department.
David has responsibility for the business development of the Company and for the day-to-day management of all divisions within the Group. David is also a consultant to Hunter Wise Securities LLC, a US corporate finance house
Head of Institutional Sales
Corporate broking – James has over 30 years experience of stockbroking and the fund management industry. His career started in the financial services industry in 1981 working as a stockbroker and investment adviser until 2006 for various entities including Charterhouse Securities, ING Barings and Credit Agricole Cheuvreux. In 2006 he entered the fund management industry, and worked as a consultant before joining the Syndicate Asset Management Plc group of companies in 2007. He returned to full-time consultancy in 2011 assisting a range of financial service providers including Wealth Managers and Funds. Since 2014, he has advised Alexander David on corporate broking matters.
Corporate Finance Director
Fiona has broad experience of the technology and financial services sectors both as an entrepreneur as well as in an advisory capacity. She started and sold a number of businesses in the UK as well as consulting to some of the top companies in these sectors before she started working in Corporate Finance in 2007. Fiona has a MBA (magna cum laude 1989) from the University of the Witwatersrand where she specialised in corporate finance and investment.
Angus qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte Plender and Griffiths. After stints in London, and Paris, on a number of large corporate audits, went to work for Charthouse Group in 1979. Angus gained a wealth of finance, compliance and operational experience in their Banking, Commodities and Overseas Subsidiaries helping streamline operations, cut costs and outsource back office operations before being promoted to a Banking Director in 1990, where he was involved in assisting in the rationalisation of the group.
After sixteen years Angus was named Finance Director of Charterhouse Securities in 1995 running day to day operations with a £10 billion per annum turnover. Since leaving Charterhouse in 2002 he has been Finance Director of an Investment Manager of Herald Investment Management and Finance Director of a corporate finance boutique MacArthur & Co. In 2009 Angus joined Falcon Capital as a Partner and is currently Finance Director at Alexander David Securities.
